Dr. Carolyn Barnes is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist with over 15 years of experience. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biology – Chemistry. Initially, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry but wanted to help patients with cancer directly and then enrolled in Loma Linda University Medical School. There she completed her Internship, residency training in Radiation Oncology, and served as Chief Resident of the program. She has several publications involving brain tumors and eye malignancies using novel technologies like proton beam.
She is proud now to be serving the Coachella Valley. As an attending, she has served on the Ethics Committee and was the Continuing Medical Education Chair of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. She also currently holds memberships to the American Society of Radiation Oncologists, American Medical Association, and has given oral presentations during ASTRO’s Annual Meetings.
Dr. Barnes holds privileges with Eisenhower Medical Center and St. Mary Medical Center.
Dr. Barnes is a wife and mother of three beautiful children. She works in the community as a Master Gardener, enjoys traveling, and hiking
